Home base. Pre-war brick in Pine Hills and the Mansion district through to post-war ranches out toward Colonie — the housing stock changes enormously across a few miles.

Do you charge more for towns further from Albany?
No travel surcharge within our standard service area — roughly 45 minutes from Albany. Beyond that we will tell you honestly whether distance affects the price rather than burying it in the number.
Does permitting work differently in each town?
Yes, and it matters more than people expect. Albany, Colonie, Guilderland, and Schenectady each run their own review schedules, and plan review on an addition can take three to six weeks depending on where you are.
We file in whichever municipality your project sits in and build the review time into the schedule up front.
Does the housing stock really differ that much?
Enough to change how a job is scoped. Troy and Albany’s older brick and masonry need lime mortar and different structural assumptions. Colonie and Guilderland’s post-war ranches are more straightforward but frequently have undersized electrical service. Saratoga County’s newer builds are easier again.
It is one reason we scan and measure before quoting rather than pricing off a phone call.

Probably. The list covers where we work most often, not a boundary. Call and we will tell you straight away whether it is a fit.
How fast can you get out for an emergency?
Within 24 hours for water and fire damage anywhere in the four counties. For active damage, call rather than filling in a form — documentation in the first hours affects the claim.
