A contractor quotes from a walk-through and a tape measure. Six weeks in, the cabinet run does not fit, or the beam is two inches lower than anyone recorded, and the argument starts.
Scanning takes an hour and removes that entirely. Everyone — you, us, your architect, your insurer — is working from the same measured record of what was actually there.

Is it actually free, or free with conditions?
Actually free. We scan, produce the drawings, and hand them over. If you hire someone else, the files are still yours.
The reason is straightforward — projects priced from real dimensions go better, and we would rather lose a quote than win one built on a guess.
How long does the scan take?
Under an hour for a typical home, a few hours for a larger commercial space. You get the 3D link within 48 hours and the dimensioned floor plan within 5 business days.
Do I need to prepare the space?
Not really. Clear enough to walk through is fine. For a claim, do not clean up or throw anything out before we scan — that is the whole point of doing it early.
Can my architect or insurer use the files?
Yes. The 3D tour is a link that opens in any browser, and the floor plan is a standard dimensioned drawing. Send them to whoever needs them.
Do you scan properties outside the Capital Region?
Within our normal service area — roughly 45 minutes from Albany — at no cost. Further out, call and we will tell you honestly whether it works.
